World number 12 David Goffin has been confirmed to be featuring this year’s J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad.
Goffin is set to make his career-second appearance at the Swiss ATP 250 clay-court event once the tournament kicks off later this season. He had a good run in his debut appearance in 2015, but lost the title to Austrian Dominic Thiem.
The 26-year-old looks forward to his return to Gstaad.
‘I love the tournament and I am looking forward to return to the Swiss Alps this year,’Goffin said following the announcement. ‘The conditions suit my game very well and I hope for another successful week.’
Goffin has won two ATP titles in singles so far in his career and one of them on clay. He made it all the way in Kitzbuhel in 2014, when he beat Thiem in the final.
The Swiss Open in Gstaad is set to take place from July 24-30
